Twitter Tuesday, brought to you by:
How stinking cute is Louise> Cmon now..you can hardly stand it!! Me too....:)
I'm so happy that I stumbled upon her blog from a friends link. I was instantly hooked with her nostalgic sense of style and how down to earth she is. She truly is one of the sweetest darn little bloggers I know.
Visit Louise's blog and give her a shout out....I'm sure you'll think she is super fab too!!!!
Louise currently lives in Mount Angel, OR and has been blogging at Coffee & A Cardigan since August, 2010.
Louise's favorite colors are Red & Navy.
Louise doesn't exactly have a fashion icon,  but if she had to pick, it would be her bosom friend Natalie. She is sophisticated while being inventive, and always smells divine.
Louise's favorite time of day is in the morning after she has her cup of coffee:)
Louise's favorite way to relax is to read L.M. Montgomery and Agatha Christie books.

Let's learn more about my super sweet Twitter Tuesday Buddy!!

What was your initial goal for your blog when you first began, and how has that changed today?
Louise: I initially began Coffee & a Cardigan as a hobby to simply archive my outfits.  I was nervous at first, since I was a size ten and a wife and mother.  I had no idea that an actual community was out there, waiting to support and encourage me!

Where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?
Louise: Flower beds inspire me, with the abounding combinations of unusual shapes and colors.  I also receive inspiration from Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers films, L.M Montgomery books, my favorite blogs, Lucky Magazine, and Emily Martin's The Paper Doll Primer.

Describe your style
Louise I tend to gravitate towards an old-fashioned aesthetic, but I almost always thrown in a touch of modernity.  On the rare occasion that I don't feel like wearing a dress, I throw on my boyfriend jeans with a hoodie and call it a day!  I avoid subservience to a particular 'style,' because I love having that freedom of wearing what I want.

How many hours a day/week do you spend working on your blog?
Louise:
I spend two or three hours a day on my blog, six days a week!

Where is your favorite place to shop?
Louise:
I do most of my shopping online at Etsy, Ebay, or Forever 21 for cheap and sweet dresses.  In real life, I frequent H&M, Target, and Gap's clearance racks.  I also attend a tri-yearly antique show where I've scored some wonderful pieces.

What "must haves" will you be adding to your Spring wardrobe?
Louise: I purchased an accordion pleated tomato red skirt from H&M and a 1950s dress from Etsy... but I really have all I need!  This spring, I'll be wearing espadrilles, colorful ankle socks, frilly blouses, wooden platforms, floral dresses, and peachy makeup.

What is your favorite piece of clothing/jewelry and why?
Louise:
I just acquired my great-grandmother's beautiful locket.  It's a one-inch circle with a star diamond in the center.  I like its simplicity, and it's wonderful to wear something a relative that I never knew. It connects us, I think.

Do you have any advice for new bloggers who are just getting started?
Louise Judy Garland said, “Be a first rate version of yourself, not a second rate version of someone else.”  THAT.  I mean, if you follow that one piece of advice, people will want to read your blog.  Also, turn off comment word verification.

If you  have a career besides blogging, what do you do?
Louise: I am a stay at home Mother to my daughter Rowena, and I work part time at a local youth center.

Where do you see yourself in 2 years?
Louise:
I will still be fashion blogging, but I hope to have another baby on my lap while doing it.  I'll be recording music more, too.  I hope that I still live in this little village with my husband and daughter.  I hope that my blog has taken off to where I can help support my family with it!

Thank you so much Louise, for allowing me to feature you as my Twitter Tuesday Friend:)
