Twitter Tuesday, brought to you by:
 DVF Leopard Dress
As a journalist and  lover of jewelry, I was amazed when I first found Wendy's blog. After reading my first Wendy quick witted post,  I immediately was off to check out her fab jewelry site. Whoa....this woman is one amazing jewelry designer. If you haven't already seen all of her incredible pieces, it will be such a treat!! She has designed jewelry for celebrities, has been featured in various publications for both her jewelry designs and incredible journalism skills.  She's a gorgeous woman, inside and out ....they really don't come much friendlier than Wendy.
Take a peek at her blog and show her some SIF reader love....you will be hooked, promise:)

Wendy currently lives in New York City and has been blogging at Wendy Brandes Jewelry Blog since July 23, 2007.
Wendy loves the colors red & leopard. Yes, leopard is a color in her mind:)
Wendy has many fashion icons . "Right now I wish I were dressed like Queen Elizabeth I with a giant ruff and pearls sewn all over my dress. In reality, I'm wearing gym shorts and my 1994 AIDS Dance-a-thon sweatshirt."
Wendy's favorite time of day is 10:00 pm and her favorite way to relax is a
Law & Order Marathon.

Let's learn more about my super sweet Twitter Tuesday Buddy!!

What was your initial goal for your blog when you first began, and how has that changed today?
Wendy: I wanted to show people that there's no reason to be intimidated by high-end jewelry. That's still my goal.

Where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?
Wendy: Medieval queens, '70s Ossie Clark models, Jacqueline Kennedy, sexy rock 'n roll guys, you name it.

Describe your style
Wendy: Basics for day, vintage for night, whimsy always welcome.
Zang Toi gown and Wendy's own swear rings.

How many hours a day/week do you spend working on your blog?
Wendy:
When I count the time I spend reading other people's blogs and interacting with them -- which is a key part of blogging for me -- I'd say it's a full-time job.

Where is your favorite place to shop?
Wendy:
Bergdorf Goodman and eBay.

What "must haves" will you be adding to your Spring wardrobe?
Wendy:  I can't get that pink and orange striped Prada dress out of my mind. I'm definitely craving some color.
 Vintage Moschino dress

What is your favorite piece of clothing/jewelry and why?
Wendy:
One of my favorite pieces of clothing is my vintage Ossie Clark snakeskin jacket, because Ossie personally gave it to someone who worked for him. I got it directly from her. Provenance means a lot to me. My favorite piece of jewelry is always my newest design. Right now that's my Empress Wu dragon ring, an 18K gold dragon that holds a spinning lapis lazuli globe in its mouth.

Do you have any advice for new bloggers who are just getting started?
Wendy: Be a part of the community. No blogger is an island!

If you  have a career besides blogging, what do you do?
Wendy: I'm a journalist-turned-jewelry designer.

Where do you see yourself in 2 years?
Wendy:
Sitting in this same easy chair, wearing the same 1994 AIDS Dance-a-Thon sweatshirt, with my laptop balanced on my knees, just like I am now. Or I'll be benevolent dictator of the world. One or the other.
