Twitter Tuesday, brought to you by:

When I thought of all the wonderful things that I would say about V for her Twitter Tuesday feature, there were so many ways to describe this super fabulous blogger to my readers.
V is one of the first bloggers I "met" when I began blogging in August. I was instantly attracted to her and Grit & Glamour for so many reasons. The first reason that came to my mind, is that she truly is a best friend to everyone, and loved by all of her faithful readers. V is one of the most admired, successful fashion bloggers in the blogosphere today. She has an extensive writing background, is extraordinarily talented when it comes to fashion styling, and is a wealth of advice to both newcomers and established bloggers.
Once you visit her blog, you will be following this icon instantly, promise:)

V is a southern belle and has been blogging at Grit & Glamour for four years.
She loves the colors black, pink and gray, and her favorite fashion icon is Tom Ford.
V's favorite time of day is the morning, but not too early. She's most energized and productive between 9am and 11am.
She enjoys relaxing by reading fashion magazines or sipping a Dirty Martini.
Let's learn more about my super sweet Twitter Tuesday Buddy!!

What was your initial goal for your blog when you first began, and how has that changed today?
V:
My blog started as an online journal, and it was highly personal. It took me a while to find my groove, but I finally figured blogging out last year. Now my blog is more a fashion a lifestyle blog. It's about me, but I don't share personal information on it.

Describe your style
V:
I call it sophisticated but edgy. I'm kind of all over the map...bondage-y one day, tailored the next. I love '70s style more than any other era. But the one silhouette I don't do is the '50s full skirt...it just doesn't work for me. I do tend toward bold jewelry. Big necklaces and huge rings...just can't get enough! Oh, and I'm almost always in heels. The higher, the better.

Where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?
V: My fashion inspiration is drawn from fashion magazines, blogs, and music videos, primarily.

How many hours a day/week do you spend working on your blog?
V:

Too many and not enough. I'd work on it eight hours a day if I could. But since I have a life, a husband, and a job, I have to restrict it to 10-15 hours a week, tops. It can vary greatly week to week. Some weeks I have a lot to share, others I don't. But the photography and editing coding and commenting...I NEVER have enough time to really do all I'd like.

Where is your favorite place to shop?
V:
Online. Locally, I love Nordstrom and BCBG.

What "must haves" will you be adding to your winter wardrobe?
V:
I wanted more fur. Hubby settled that one for me with a beautiful fur stole and muff for Christmas. I have everything I need for winter. I'm going to start building my spring wardrobe now, I think.

What is your favorite piece of clothing/jewelry and why?
V:
My absolute favorite clothing item is a black woolly vest I bought in Australia. I wear it all the time and it goes with virtually everything, from office wear, to casual wear, to date night. It's actually quite amazing how versatile it is. I'm positive people are sick of seeing me in it, but I could care less. It's my security blanket.

Do you have any advice for new bloggers who are just getting started?
V:
Yes. Check out my Build a Better Blog page: http://www.gritandglamour.com/build-a-better-blog/
Blogging has evolved; there is an art and a method to it. There are scores of links on my page that would help new bloggers on many levels.

Where do you see yourself in 2 years?
V:
I hope to delve more deeply into social media development and management on a professional level. But we'll see. I don't like to try to predict the future.

Thank you so much V, for allowing me to feature you as my Twitter Tuesday Friend:)
